1.    Australian author Richard Flanagan won 2014 Man Booker Prize
i. Australian author Richard Flanagan on 14 October 2014 won the 50000 pounds Man Booker Prize for his wartime novel The Narrow Road to the Deep North.

1.    Khaled Bahah new PM of Yemen
i. In Yemen, President Mansour Hadi has named country’s envoy to UN, Khaled Bahah as the next Prime Minister. He was among the three names proposed by the Houthi rebels to end the political standoff in the country.
